I charge the state fee of $10 per notarization, plus a nominal travel fee. This fee varies by distance from me to you. Other services, such as Field Inspections or Courier Services, will be discussed during booking.
My travel fee will never be higher than $45. If you are farther than my $45 range, I will refer you to an educated notary who is closer to you. There is no extra charge for the referral.
There is the possibility of additional fees for printing services should I need to print out documents prior to your appointment.
All applicable fees will also be discussed prior to your appointment.
You do not pay until the notarizations are complete. (The travel fee might still apply in some circumstances)
Michigan Law of Notarial Acts, Act 238 of 2003 55.285 Performance of notarial acts Sec. 25. (7) The fee charged by a notary public for performing a notarial act shall not be more than $10.00 for any individual transaction or notarial act. Before the notary public commences to travel in order to perform a notarial act, the notary public and client may agree concerning a separate travel fee to be charged by the notary public for traveling to perform the notarial act.

IMPORTANT! Notaries notarize SIGNATURES, not documents!
The contents of your document are not of concern to the notary. We need to know what document we are notarizing, for our records, but not the why or how. Our job is to help prevent fraud.
We need to see your ID. The original, NOT a copy! The State of Michigan does NOT allow us to use expired ID or copies of ID.
Please make sure you have your original, un-expired, state or federally issued ID, with your signature and photograph.
If you don't have that, please call and we can talk about other legal avenues that we can use to verify your identity.
